Dichroic Filter Coating, Colour Seperating Thin Film Optical Coating

 

Overview:

 

Dichroic Filter Coating is a thin film optical coating usually added by vacuum deposition on glass substrates, intending to reflect a specified range(s) of wavelengths and transmit a different specified range(s) of wavelengths at a specified AOI, typically 45 degrees. It is commonly used to split spatially overlapping beams of different colours.

 

One special feature of Dichroic filter coating is the unwanted wavelengths are reflected rather than absorbed, which means dichroic filters do not absorb this unwanted energy during operation, allowing them to have a much longer life than conventional filters.

 

To split the laser line beams like 532nm and 1064nm is most commonly required by customers according to our production line.
