Overview: Double-Convex (DCX) Lens, also referred to as bi-convex lens, has two positive, symmetrical faces with equal radii on both sides. These lenses are generally recommended for finite imaging applications. Bi-convex lenses are most suitable where the object and image are on opposite sides of the lens and the ratio of the image and object distances (conjugate ratio) is between 0.2 and 5. Star Optic provides double-convex lenses in a variety of substrates and anti-reflection coating options.

Coating Options Of Fused Silica Double Convex (DCX) Spherical Lens: Star Optic's above standard double convex spherical lenses are uncoated. In order to reduce the amount of light reflected from each surface of the lens, antireflection coatings including singer layer MgF2, multi-layer AR coating, Broadband multi-layer AR coating and Dual wavelength AR coating are also available.
Mounting Options For Double Convex (DCX) Spherical Lens: Star Optic's above standard double convex spherical lenses are not mounted. However, we can provide fixed mount and adjustable mount for our lenses.
